Celebrating 100 Years of Sir David Attenborough
On Friday 8th May, we celebrated the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough. During the day, the children learnt about this inspirational man through a range of engaging activities. We used the occasion to focus on our writing skills, with children across the school writing in a variety of genres linked to the work and achievements of this amazing man. Red Nose Day 2026
Children came to school in their own clothes for Red Nose Day, making donations to support this worthwhile cause, and many proudly wore red noses! They also took part in a range of fun Red Nose Day activities throughout the day.


Red Nose Ready!
Our School Councillors have been busy selling red noses in preparation for Comic Relief this Friday, raising money for a truly worthwhile cause. Thank you to everyone who has supported this fantastic charity so far—we are proud to be making a difference together!


Science Week!
During Science Week, each year group explored a different scientific question, sparking curiosity and excitement across the school. Year 1 - How do bees help flowers? Year 2 - How do birds build nests? Year 3 - How can you tell how old a shark is? Year 4 - What is an ecosystem? Year 5 - What sort of vehicle would be best on the moon? Year 6 - How do boats float? Reception’s Mother’s Day Celebration
Reception had a heartwarming celebration to honor all the special ladies in the children’s lives. The Mother's Day assembly was filled with joy and love, featuring beautiful singing and fabulous speaking as the children shared with the grown-ups why these women are so special to them. The children also got creative, making personalised Mother’s Day cards and medals to show their appreciation. As a final touch, each child left school with a trio of daffodils to give to the spe

World Book Day!
We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day in school. The children and staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, and it was fantastic to see so many creative and colourful costumes around the school. The children were also invited to bring in their favourite book from home. Dress to Express!
Children’s Mental Health Week is a valuable opportunity to reflect on how we care for our mental and emotional wellbeing. Throughout the week, the children have taken part in activities focused on wellbeing, self-expression, and recognising what helps them feel calm, confident, and supported. To mark the end of the week, the children came together to Dress to Express!


Christmas Lunch!
Children and staff enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch together, all dressed in their festive Christmas jumpers. The hall was filled with smiles, laughter, and the joyful sound of Christmas songs!
