Teamwork and Triumph at the Table Cricket Event
Children worked well as a team to compete against other schools in a table cricket event, including some secondary schools. Children supported each other and showed great sportsmanship. Elston Hall were victorious and took home the medals and trophy!

Team Elston Running Strong!
Our boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams competed at Fordhouses Cricket Club against 15 schools from across Wolverhampton and Bilston. A total of 168 pupils took part in the event, with Elston represented by 16 runners from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. We are incredibly proud to share that our girls’ team finished in 1st place, while our boys’ team narrowly missed out on a bronze medal, finishing an impressive 4th overall. This is an outstanding achievement, particularly as many of o

Netball Hub Event
A huge well done to our superb netballers who braved the cold, wet weather to play in the Netball Hub event held at St Chads. Elston Hall took 11 players to play as part of two mixed Year 5 and 6 teams. Despite the freezing conditions, the children played brilliantly. Team 2 lost one match, drew 2 and won 2 whilst Team 1 won 5 matches and drew one. Overall just one defeat out of 11 matches played!

Goals Galore as Elston Girls Shine Again!
Our girls’ footballers were back in action this week, taking on Fieldview Primary School, and they delivered another outstanding performance. Elston got off to the perfect start, scoring inside the opening 25 seconds with a calm, composed finish from Jess. The momentum didn’t stop there, and by half-time Elston had raced into a 5–0 lead, with goals from Alba (2), Jess (2) and Daniella. The goals kept coming in the second half, as Heidi and Jess added to the scoreline to round

Proud Performance at the Wolves Foundation 6-a-Side
Our girls proudly represented us at the Wolves Foundation 6-a-side competition. They were drawn into an extremely competitive group, with only a few points separating 2nd from 5th place. Although the girls were unfortunately knocked out in the group stages, they showed incredible resilience, determination, and teamwork throughout the tournament. As always, we are immensely proud of them — especially considering many of the team are only in Years 4 and 5, competing against Yea

Year 2 Shine at All Aboard Festival!
A group of Year 2 students traveled to Aldersley Leisure Village to participate in the 'All Aboard Festival.' The children had a fantastic time engaging in various activities, including serving in volleyball, keeping time in dance, improving accuracy in golf, and developing coordination in tennis. They worked diligently and received numerous compliments for their excellent listening skills and effort. Well done, everyone!

Elston Hall Boys Shine at West Midlands County Finals!
Our boys team competed against schools across the midlands at Castle Vale stadium in Birmingham at the West Midlands County Finals. The boys won two, lost one and drew one match in their group meaning they topped the group with 7 points giving them a place in the semi-finals. The boys played brilliantly as a team in the semi-final but sadly lost to a last-minute goal sending them out of the competition. They were excellent representatives of Elston Hall and staff were proud o

Year 2 Triumph at Multiskills Event
10 of our Year 2 children represented Elston Hall at the Multiskills event held at St Chads. The children competed as a team to score points in a variety of events using skills such as throwing and catching, jumping, running and balancing. For the children, it was their first time competing in such an event and representing school. They worked amazingly well and were winners of the event meaning they move onto the finals, against other school across the city later in the term

Sports Ambassadors Lead a Fantastic Festive Fun Run!
This week our Sports Ambassadors did a fantastic job organising our whole-school Festive Fun Run. Children arrived with festive accessories and took part at their own pace, making the event both inclusive and fun. Pupils completed laps of the course and joined in a series of additional exercises and activity stations designed and led by the ambassadors. Well done to all participants and a big thank-you to our Sports Ambassadors for making the event such a success!

Boccia Brilliance at Aldersley!
Six Year 6 children travelled to Aldersley Leisure Village to take part in a boccia competition alongside 24 other schools. It was fantastic to see the children learning and playing a new sport against pupils from a range of primary and secondary schools. Despite never having played boccia before, both Elston teams shone throughout the event, demonstrating excellent teamwork and impressive tactical awareness. Together, they achieved an amazing 15 wins out of 23 matches. We ar
