Sports Ambassadors Lead a Fantastic Festive Fun Run!
This week our Sports Ambassadors did a fantastic job organising our whole-school Festive Fun Run. Children arrived with festive accessories and took part at their own pace, making the event both inclusive and fun. Pupils completed laps of the course and joined in a series of additional exercises and activity stations designed and led by the ambassadors. Well done to all participants and a big thank-you to our Sports Ambassadors for making the event such a success!


Boccia Brilliance at Aldersley!
Six Year 6 children travelled to Aldersley Leisure Village to take part in a boccia competition alongside 24 other schools. It was fantastic to see the children learning and playing a new sport against pupils from a range of primary and secondary schools. Despite never having played boccia before, both Elston teams shone throughout the event, demonstrating excellent teamwork and impressive tactical awareness. Champions of the Sportshall Athletics Finals!
A team of 12 children attended the Sportshall Primary Athletics finals after qualifying last month. The children participated in a range of events including both track and field events. The team did amazingly with the boys team winning all of their races whilst the girls team placed 1 st  in 3 races, 2 nd  in one race and 3 rd  in their last race. On the field, the children did amazingly well in events including chest push, standing long jump, vertical jump, javelin and spe


Superb Team Effort Secures 6–0 Victory!
Well done to our boys football team who beat Nishkam Primary 6-0. The boys were excellent throughout the game and showcased some excellent passing football in patches of the game to give us the 3 points. Well done to our goalscorers and defence who kept a clean sheet too! 💚


Another Win for Our Talented Girls
Well done to our 9 a side girls football team who played a tough Bilston side. The girls were excellent showing brilliant passing, dribbling and teamwork skills resulting in another win, this time scoring 3 goals. Great goals from Alba, Daniella and Heidi saw us claim the 3 points. Special shout out to our defence and goalkeeper who yet again didn't conceded a single goal! What a talented group of players we have! 💚


Elston 7-a-Side Football Success!
Elston 7 a side boys football team competed against 26 other schools from across the district. The boys were brilliant topping the group winning 5 games and drawing one. They then beat Bhylls Acre 1-0 in a tightly contested semi final. The boys then went through to the final where they met St Stephen's, the game eventually went to penalties where Ollie made a fantastic save which gave us the best possible chance. Kane scored the decisive penalty to crown us as Blakemore Cup 7


Elston Athletics Breaks Points Record!
Well done to our Athletics team who won finished 1st place out of 5 schools at their hub event last night. Elston got an amazing 1750 points which is a record amount of points ever for that hub event. We are so proud of them, they now go on to represent us at the Athletics finals! Well done everyone 💚


Tag Rugby Club
The children really enjoyed playing a lively game of tag-rugby this week! Through this activity, they are developing a range of important skills. Physically, they’re improving their coordination, agility, and reaction times. Socially, they’re learning teamwork, communication, and good sportsmanship. Cognitively, they’re building focus, quick thinking, and strategic decision-making. It’s wonderful to see everyone having fun while learning and staying active!


Dodgeball Competition
Seven of our Year 6 children participated in a dodgeball competition at St Chads. The children played 8 games in their group against Christ Church, St Mary's, Bilston and Whitgreave, with 6 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw. The children topped their group to progress to the quarter finals where they unfortunately lost in a competitive game against Wodensfield. Well Done to Our Cheerleaders!
A big congratulations to our amazing cheerleaders who represented Elston at the City Diversity Celebration at the Halls in Wolverhampton! They performed in front of a large audience alongside many other schools—and stood out as the only cheerleaders at the event. The Elston All Stars thrilled the audience with an energetic mash-up of music, showcasing their talent, team spirit, and dedication. We couldn’t be prouder of their outstanding performance!
