A huge well done to our superb netballers who braved the cold, wet weather to play in the Netball Hub event held at St Chads. Elston Hall took 11 players to play as part of two mixed Year 5 and 6 teams. Despite the freezing conditions, the children played brilliantly. Team 2 lost one match, drew 2 and won 2 whilst Team 1 won 5 matches and drew one. Overall just one defeat out of 11 matches played!

As part of our new topic, You’re Not Invited , Year 5 brought the past to life with an exciting historical workshop led by Humph’s Histories. The children learned some Latin phrases, explored where key Roman events fit within British history, and investigated a range of weapons, armour and other historical sources.
