A huge well done to all the students who participated in the recent STEM Challenge! Our incredible bridge builders showed remarkable creativity and problem-solving skills. We are thrilled to announce our winners, who were awarded a special voucher as a token of their achievement. Netball Hub Event
A huge well done to our superb netballers who braved the cold, wet weather to play in the Netball Hub event held at St Chads. Elston Hall took 11 players to play as part of two mixed Year 5 and 6 teams. Despite the freezing conditions, the children played brilliantly. Team 2 lost one match, drew 2 and won 2 whilst Team 1 won 5 matches and drew one. Overall just one defeat out of 11 matches played!


Bringing the Romans to Life!
As part of our new topic, You’re Not Invited , Year 5 brought the past to life with an exciting historical workshop led by Humph’s Histories. The children learned some Latin phrases, explored where key Roman events fit within British history, and investigated a range of weapons, armour and other historical sources. They also created their own Roman shields and recreated battle formations, giving them a real insight into life in the Roman army. A big thank you to Steve for del
