Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed island hopping from Scotland to Brazil and Fiji as part of our inspiration day. We learned interesting facts about the countries including their continents, capital cities and time zones. We practised saying words and phrases in different languages, such as Portuguese, Fijian and Gaelic and tasted some delicious traditional foods from each place. Our favourite part of the day was listening to music from across the countries and learning the traditional dances, including the Highland Fling, the Samba and the Meke.Â
