What an incredible few days the children have had on their residential! They have packed so much into their time away and created lots of fantastic memories along the way. An enthusiastic group of children took part in a 'tabletop cricket' game this morning, organised by Staffordshire Cricket Club. They gathered around a specially designed tabletop cricket 'pitch', and worked in a small team, taking turns to bat, bowl and field using the scaled‑down equipment. Our Rocksteady children have been learning to play their chosen instruments and have worked incredibly hard throughout the term. Our Year 4/ and Year 5 Wellbeing Ambassadors worked with Grace from the Wolves Foundation as part of the 'Health Champions' programme. The children discussed people who are already health champions such as David Attenborough and the Dutchess of Cambridge. Year 1 had an exciting day at Conkers, packed with hands-on learning and outdoor adventures! The children explored animal adaptations on a nature trail, discovering how different animals have special features that help find food. They then put their learning into practice by creating their own mud monsters, carefully designing creatures with features to help them catch prey. Needless to say, everyone got wonderfully messy! Reception children had a fantastic time visiting Shrewsbury Theatre to watch The Enormous Crocodile musical. Children from Elston Hall had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Birmingham Open at Edgbaston Priory Club. Our Year 6 pupils took part in Level 2 Bikability training, developing the skills and confidence needed to cycle safely on local roads. They showed great enthusiasm, responsibility, and determination, making excellent progress and demonstrating the importance of safe cycling habits for life.
