Football Stars Impress Against Grammar School!
Seventeen boys and girls from Years 2, 3, and 4 took part in an exciting 7-a-side football friendly against Wolverhampton Grammar School. Both teams were outstanding, demonstrating excellent teamwork, passing, movement, and some fantastic goals throughout. The boys delivered a superb performance, winning their game 8–2. Elston Hall’s Young Rock Stars Take the Stage
Elston Hall hosted an exciting Rocksteady concert featuring five talented bands with students from Year 2 to Year 5. The concert kicked off with the Elston Rockers brilliant rendition of ‘Stargazing.’ Following them, Lightning Storm took the stage, with a wonderful performance of ‘Roar.’ The Blackstar Jammers performed ‘Ghostbusters,’ encouraging plenty of audience participation that had everyone singing along! Elston Girls Impress at Football Festival
Many of our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils recently attended a football festival at Aldersley Leisure Village. Elston entered two teams, both of whom demonstrated excellent teamwork and commitment throughout the event. Team 1, led by Mr Turner, recorded two wins, one draw, and two losses, showcasing strong collaboration and determination in every match. Year 3 Local Walk
As part of our ‘Out and About’ topic, Year 3 pupils have been exploring the local area around our school. Through local walks, the children have been identifying and observing human and physical features in their environment. These observations are helping the children develop an understanding of why our local area looks the way it does and how these features influence where buildings and roads are located.

Year 3 Step Into Ancient Greece
Year 3 welcomed Steve from Humph’s Histories to enhance their history learning as part of their topic Athens v Sparta . During the day, the children learned all about Ancient Greece and Greek culture, and even had a go at solving the oldest puzzle in the world. They designed their own battle shields, using traditional Ancient Greek patterns and symbols, before learning that the Greeks loved their wine! PCSO Visits Year 3
Year 3 recently welcomed our local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO), who visited the children to talk about stranger danger and the importance of recognising safer strangers. During the session, the children listened attentively and took part in thoughtful discussions based on everyday situations. Together, they explored what to do if they ever feel worried or unsure, and who they can turn to for help. The PCSO explained that not all strangers are unsafe and supported


A Stone Age Adventure for Year 3
Year 3 had an unforgettable day at Tanglewood as they stepped back in time to deepen their learning about the Stone Age. The children began by grouping themselves into tribes, each choosing a unique tribe name and decorating their cheeks with matching colours—just like real Stone Age hunters!
