💚 A TEAM TO BE PROUD OF! 💚

A fantastic day for our girls representing Elston at the Blakemore Cup at The Wolves Training Ground! From minute one, the girls worked incredibly hard, displayed fantastic teamwork and showed amazing quality throughout the tournament.

Elston played 7 group-stage games, winning every single one without conceding a single goal! 👏🏼 The girls then progressed to an 8-minute semi-final, which ended in a sudden-death penalty shootout. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for Elston on penalties, but we honestly could not be prouder of the effort, determination and quality shown by every single girl throughout the day! 💚

🌟 Special mentions go to Sia and Aadaya, who both played their very first games for Elston! Sia found the net a handful of times, while Aadaya was fantastic in defence alongside Peyton, helping the team maintain their incredible record of not conceding a single goal throughout the tournament!

Aurelia, Jess, Heidi and Daniella linked up brilliantly up front, creating fantastic combinations and scoring plenty of goals! ⚽️💚

The girls have had some tough luck in finals over the past few years, but their hard work, resilience and determination never stop. There is still plenty to play for this year, and we’ll keep pushing forward together!

We are so proud of the team these girls have become over the last few years, both on and off the pitch. Days like today show just how far they have come and what a fantastic group of players they are. 💚

Keep your heads up, girls. You did Elston proud today! 👏🏼💚
