The boys played a fantastic friendly against Perry Hall Primary School, with a competitive game from the very first whistle. Neither team was able to get a foothold in the match, with both sides creating plenty of chances but struggling to find the back of the net.

Elston finally broke the deadlock with a brilliant goal from Roman, putting us 1–0 up. Our confidence grew, and Roman struck again with another well-taken goal to make it 2–0!

Perry Hall responded with an excellent free kick from outside the box to make it 2–1. However, it didn’t take long for us to restore our two-goal advantage, with Zuriel perfectly placed to make it 3–1.

At half time, Mr Green and Mr Turner spoke to the team about using the width of the pitch, passing and moving, and creating opportunities by making the right decisions when we had an overload.

The boys showed fantastic listening skills and put everything they had discussed into practice. We scored plenty of goals in the second half, with some excellent passing out wide and brilliant decision-making to create opportunities.

Elston eventually finished the game with a fantastic 9–2 victory!
