A tough one to take for Elston B! 💚

Elston B were back in action again, this time taking on Uplands Primary School!

Elston got off to a flying start, finding themselves 1-0 up within the first five minutes thanks to a fantastic strike from Matheson from outside the box! ⚽

Uplands responded quickly, attacking down our right-hand side before delivering a cross into the box, which their striker met and calmly slotted into the bottom corner.

At half-time, it was all square at 1-1, with everything still to play for!

Uplands came out strongly in the second half and put pressure on our goal, eventually finding a second. Elston continued to battle hard, creating chances and getting shots away, but unfortunately, we just couldn’t find the back of the net. Uplands later added a third to make the final score 3-1.

Overall, a tough result to take, especially with the chances Elston created, particularly in the first half. However, we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, determination and teamwork shown by the boys once again.

These games are so competitive, and on another day, the result could easily have gone the other way!

Keep your heads up, Elston B! We are proud of you!
