💚 A fantastic effort from our Elston footballers! ⚽
We are incredibly proud of our boys, who competed at the Wolves Training Ground in Compton this afternoon.
The team played 6 games in total, winning 3, drawing 2 and losing just 1. The boys were superb from start to finish, conceding only one goal throughout the entire tournament! This is a huge credit to their hard work, determination and commitment to defending as a team. đź‘Ź
We saw some brilliant goals from Dilroop, Alessandro and Aaron, alongside some fantastic football played on some really tight pitches.
Unfortunately, the boys narrowly missed out on a semi-final place, finishing 3rd in their group by just one point. Despite this disappointment, Mr Green and Mr Turner couldn’t have asked for any more from the team. The boys showed tremendous fight, desire and an excellent attitude throughout the tournament.
Every single player should be proud of their performance today. The effort, teamwork and sportsmanship on display were fantastic to see!
Well done, lads — you did Elston proud! 💚⚽👏
