Year 3 Local Walk
As part of our ‘Out and About’ topic, Year 3 pupils have been exploring the local area around our school. Through local walks, the children have been identifying and observing human and physical features in their environment. These observations are helping the children develop an understanding of why our local area looks the way it does and how these features influence where buildings and roads are located.


Veolia Visit Year 1
Year 1 enjoyed a fun and informative visit from Veolia, a company that works to improve and protect the environment. The visit supported the children’s Geography learning by helping them understand how our environment can be cared for, improved, and sustained.


Year 1 - Unity in the Community!
As part of our inspiration day to launch our new topic, Unity in the Community , Year 1 enjoyed a local walk around the area surrounding our school, where they looked carefully for different road signs. During the walk, the children identified a range of signs and symbols and discussed the actions they tell us to take, such as stop, slow down, or speed up. Year 4 ‘Lit-Up Their Learning’ with an Electrifying Lego Workshop!
Year 4 'lit-up their learning' this week, with our fabulous Lego Electricity workshop. With our visitor, Stephen, we discussed settlements and which Human and Physical features we would find in them. Using our Geography sticky knowledge, we then we created our own town buildings, using our creative skills. Working collaboratively, we then used roads to connect up our buildings to make our city! We added physical features like water, green spaces and plants and human features
