Red Nose Day 2026
Children came to school in their own clothes for Red Nose Day, making donations to support this worthwhile cause, and many proudly wore red noses! They also took part in a range of fun Red Nose Day activities throughout the day.


Fire Safety in Year 4
Fire officers visited our Year 4 class to deliver the SPARKS programme. During the session, the children learned about the common causes of fires and discussed practical ways to prevent them in everyday situations. They were encouraged to think carefully about fire safety at home and in school, including the importance of recognising potential hazards. Wow Badges – February Update
Our sports ambassadors have awarded 360 Wow badges for February. Children can continue to carry out their active travelling and remembering to log this each day in class to earn their next badge. Children only have to do one active type of travelling per week to earn a badge.


Red Nose Ready!
Our School Councillors have been busy selling red noses in preparation for Comic Relief this Friday, raising money for a truly worthwhile cause. Thank you to everyone who has supported this fantastic charity so far—we are proud to be making a difference together!


Reflexions Visit Year 6
The Reflexions Team visited our Year 6 children to help them prepare for their upcoming SATs. The session focussed on supporting pupils with any worries or anxieties they may be feeling. The team shared helpful advice and simple strategies to manage nerves, build confidence and reduce feelings of anxiety. Safer Internet Day
Safer Internet Day is the largest global online safety campaign. This year's theme, ‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI,’ focuses on teaching children and young people the skills to use AI technology safely and responsibly, and highlights available support. Dress to Express!
Children’s Mental Health Week is a valuable opportunity to reflect on how we care for our mental and emotional wellbeing. Throughout the week, the children have taken part in activities focused on wellbeing, self-expression, and recognising what helps them feel calm, confident, and supported. Reflexions Training
We were delighted to welcome Reflexions back to our school today, where they delivered training to our Wellbeing Champions to help promote positive wellbeing across the school community.


PCSO Visits Year 6
Our local PCSO visited our school to speak to Year 6 pupils about social media use and criminal responsibility. The session helped children understand how their online choices can have real-life consequences and how to stay safe and responsible both online and offline.


Year 1 Visit Residential Home
As part of our Unity in the Community topic, Year 1 had a fantastic experience visiting a local residential home! We received a warm welcome from both residents and staff and were treated to a drink and a biscuit. Afterwards, we sang some nursery rhymes and were met with lovely praise from the residents. Dogs Trust Visit Year 1
Year 1 welcomed a visit from Dogs Trust. The children were taught how to stay safe around dogs and how to be responsible and kind when interacting with animals.


Veolia Visit Year 1
Year 1 enjoyed a fun and informative visit from Veolia, a company that works to improve and protect the environment. The visit supported the children’s Geography learning by helping them understand how our environment can be cared for, improved, and sustained.


Year 1 Learns Road Safety
Crossing the road safely is an essential skill and Year 1 have learned how to cross the road safely with our 'School Crossing Patrol' Officer. They were taught how to STOP, LOOK and LISTEN and how to find a safe place to cross. The children learnt through fun role play and even learnt a song to help them remember the rules of crossing the road safely! They can't wait to put their skills into practise on their next community walk.


Year 4 Online Safety Talk with Local PCSO
Our local PCSO visited Year 4 to talk about staying safe online, including how to use social media responsibly and how to recognise and respond to cyberbullying.


Year 1 - Unity in the Community!
As part of our inspiration day to launch our new topic, Unity in the Community , Year 1 enjoyed a local walk around the area surrounding our school, where they looked carefully for different road signs. During the walk, the children identified a range of signs and symbols and discussed the actions they tell us to take, such as stop, slow down, or speed up. Year 2 Reflexions Workshop
Promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing throughout our school community is a vital part of our school life. The Reflexions team visited Year 2 to lead a workshop on understanding and managing feelings and emotions.

During the session, the children listened attentively and took part in thoughtful discussions based on everyday situations. Together, they explored what to do if they ever feel worried or unsure, and who they can turn to for help. The PCSO explained that not all strangers are unsafe and supported


Year 1 Explore our Local Community
Children in Year 1 have been learning all about road safety. They explored how to stay safe near roads using the Green Cross Code. The children then put their learning into action by taking a walk around the local community, where they confidently identified different road signs and street names. Everyone showed excellent awareness and responsibility, making it a very successful and enjoyable learning experience.
