Strong Team Effort from Year 6 Tag Rugby
Our Year 6 tag rugby team participated in a tournament held at Wolverhampton Rugby Club where 12 schools competed. The team played a total of 11 matches against all the participating schools winning 5 games, drawing 3 and losing 3 games. Elston V Grammar School
Elston faced their final group fixture at home against a very strong Wolverhampton Grammar School side, and it proved to be a thrilling contest from start to finish. The game began cautiously, with both teams battling for control and chances were slim. Children are thoroughly enjoying the Chance to Shine cricket club. Qualified coaches are helping the children develop key cricket, physical and life skills. The sessions are building their confidence both on and off the pitch.

Wolves Premier League Stars tournament
"We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 boys’ and girls’ team who represented the school so brilliantly at the Wolves Foundation Premier League Stars Tournament held at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground. A fantastic performance from the girls in Year 6, focusing on how a stimulus can inspire you to choregraph a dance. The girls show through movement the difference between Earth, Ice Giant planets and Hot planets in their new topic of Science Dance.


Teamwork and Triumph at the Table Cricket Event
Children worked well as a team to compete against other schools in a table cricket event, including some secondary schools. Children supported each other and showed great sportsmanship. Elston Hall were victorious and took home the medals and trophy!


Team Elston Running Strong!
Our boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams competed at Fordhouses Cricket Club against 15 schools from across Wolverhampton and Bilston. A total of 168 pupils took part in the event, with Elston represented by 16 runners from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. We are incredibly proud to share that our girls’ team finished in 1st place, while our boys’ team narrowly missed out on a bronze medal, finishing an impressive 4th overall. Netball Hub Event
A huge well done to our superb netballers who braved the cold, wet weather to play in the Netball Hub event held at St Chads. Elston Hall took 11 players to play as part of two mixed Year 5 and 6 teams. Despite the freezing conditions, the children played brilliantly. Team 2 lost one match, drew 2 and won 2 whilst Team 1 won 5 matches and drew one. Overall just one defeat out of 11 matches played!


Goals Galore as Elston Girls Shine Again!
Our girls’ footballers were back in action this week, taking on Fieldview Primary School, and they delivered another outstanding performance. Elston got off to the perfect start, scoring inside the opening 25 seconds with a calm, composed finish from Jess. The momentum didn’t stop there, and by half-time Elston had raced into a 5–0 lead, with goals from Alba (2), Jess (2) and Daniella. The goals kept coming in the second half, as Heidi and Jess added to the scoreline to round


Proud Performance at the Wolves Foundation 6-a-Side
Our girls proudly represented us at the Wolves Foundation 6-a-side competition. They were drawn into an extremely competitive group, with only a few points separating 2nd from 5th place. Although the girls were unfortunately knocked out in the group stages, they showed incredible resilience, determination, and teamwork throughout the tournament. Year 2 Shine at All Aboard Festival!
A group of Year 2 students traveled to Aldersley Leisure Village to participate in the 'All Aboard Festival.' The children had a fantastic time engaging in various activities, including serving in volleyball, keeping time in dance, improving accuracy in golf, and developing coordination in tennis. They worked diligently and received numerous compliments for their excellent listening skills and effort. Well done, everyone!


P.E In Action - Reception and Year 1
Children in Reception are beginning their gymnastics learning journey through a fun and engaging space-themed approach. Children in Year 1 have been practising dribbling a ball in football FUNdamentals, developing control, coordination and spatial awareness.


Elston Hall Boys Shine at West Midlands County Finals!
Our boys team competed against schools across the midlands at Castle Vale stadium in Birmingham at the West Midlands County Finals. The boys won two, lost one and drew one match in their group meaning they topped the group with 7 points giving them a place in the semi-finals. The boys played brilliantly as a team in the semi-final but sadly lost to a last-minute goal sending them out of the competition. They were excellent representatives of Elston Hall and staff were proud o


Year 6 Gymnastics!
Fantastic work in PE this week! The children showed excellent control, balance and coordination while practising moves. They listened carefully, worked safely and supported one another. We were especially impressed with their confidence and determination to improve their skills. Well done everyone – keep up the great work!


Year 2 Triumph at Multiskills Event
10 of our Year 2 children represented Elston Hall at the Multiskills event held at St Chads. The children competed as a team to score points in a variety of events using skills such as throwing and catching, jumping, running and balancing. For the children, it was their first time competing in such an event and representing school. They worked amazingly well and were winners of the event meaning they move onto the finals, against other school across the city later in the term
