Reception had a fantastic visit from PCSO Trudi Brittle, who came to share all about her role in keeping us safe. She talked with the children about the difference between PCSOs and police officers, explaining their responsibilities and how they help in the community.
Trudi showed the children her uniform and equipment, giving them a hands-on experience by letting them try some of it on. This really helped the children understand what a PCSO does day-to-day.
An important part of the visit was learning about ‘Safer Strangers’, why it’s vital to know who they are and how they can help us if we ever feel unsafe. Trudi also shared tips on how to stay safe in different situations.
The children left feeling more aware and empowered, knowing there are kind, trusted people ready to help them whenever they need.
