A few more fabulous costumes!

We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day in school. The children and staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, and it was fantastic to see so many creative and colourful costumes around the school. Thank you to all the parents who attended our phonics workshop — it was wonderful to see so many of you there. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their learning with you! This week, we are excited to celebrate National Storytelling Week. To mark the occasion, five members of staff and one of our pupils have recorded themselves reading a story to share with our school community. Each reader has chosen a different language, allowing us to celebrate the rich linguistic diversity within our school. These videos will be shared on the school website throughout the week, we will share them in class to promote a love of stories, languages, and reading

Our Reading Ambassadors shared their love of reading with some of our younger children this week. Visiting classes across the school, they read a festive Christmas story, bringing the magic of storytelling to life. It was wonderful to see the older pupils reading with confidence and enthusiasm, and the younger children listening so attentively. A lovely celebration of reading, community, and Christmas spirit!

We were delighted to welcome 13 students from Birmingham University as part of their ITAP (Initial Teacher Advancement Programme) placement. Early Years have had SO much fun celebrating World Nursery Rhyme Week! We joined together as a Trust to sing our favourite nursery rhymes to each other via TEAMs — it was wonderful to see everyone joining in with such enthusiasm.
