A Jurassic Adventure!

Our Early Years Inspiration Day kicked off with a thrilling journey back in time to the world of dinosaurs ready for this terms topic 'Jurrassic Park'. The children arrived at school ready for a day of discovery, dressed as palaeontologists, ready to investigate all things prehistoric.

The day began with a thrilling fossil hunt! The children eagerly dug into the dusting trays, uncovering ancient treasures and learning how fossils are formed. They were amazed by the fascinating pieces they found and enjoyed discussing the wonders of the past.

Next, we dived deep into the world of dinosaurs. We talked about the different species, shared our favourite dinosaurs, and even created our own!  We also explored where dinosaurs lived, what they ate, and what might have caused their extinction. A big highlight of the day was when Reception children had the chance to make the  volcano erupt, simulating the dramatic events that contributed to the dinosaurs' disappearance. They also had a blast designing their own dinosaur parks.

A big thank you to everyone , children and teachers alike, for your incredible efforts in dressing up as palaeontologists! It was truly wonderful to see such enthusiasm and creativity from everyone.

We can’t wait to continue our journey through the world of dinosaurs in the coming weeks, exploring new discoveries, and deepening our understanding of this exciting topic. Thank you all for a roaring good time!
