Year 3 had a wonderful day at Twycross Zoo!
There were able to see some amazing animals such as a Sumatran tiger, rhinoceros, giraffes, gorillas and many more! We also had a tour with a Twycross Zookeeper who taught us all about the habitats, diets and behaviours of some of the animals from the Rainforest. Year 3 loved seeing the Orangutan with her baby! We ate our packed lunches on picnic benches and beanbags then carried on our exploring of the Zoo. We visited the 'Gruffalo Land' and played on the park too. A family of ducks and ducklings decided to join in with us too! Overall, the children had a fun-packed day that drew on their learning from thematic and science lessons!
