As part of our topic, You’re Not Invited, Year 4 brought history to life through an exciting workshop led by Humph’s Histories. The children learned several Latin phrases and discovered where key Roman events fit within British history. They examined a variety of weapons, armour and other historical sources to deepen their understanding of the past.
They also designed and made their own Roman shields and recreated battle formations, gaining a fascinating insight into what life was like as a Roman soldier.
