Strong Team Effort from Year 6 Tag Rugby
Our Year 6 tag rugby team participated in a tournament held at Wolverhampton Rugby Club where 12 schools competed. The team played a total of 11 matches against all the participating schools winning 5 games, drawing 3 and losing 3 games. The children played well as a team, showing great improvements as the day went on and really developing their togetherness and communication. Year 3 Local Walk
As part of our ‘Out and About’ topic, Year 3 pupils have been exploring the local area around our school. Through local walks, the children have been identifying and observing human and physical features in their environment. These observations are helping the children develop an understanding of why our local area looks the way it does and how these features influence where buildings and roads are located.


Elston V Grammar School
Elston faced their final group fixture at home against a very strong Wolverhampton Grammar School side, and it proved to be a thrilling contest from start to finish. The game began cautiously, with both teams battling for control and chances were slim. Reflexions Visit Year 6
The Reflexions Team visited our Year 6 children to help them prepare for their upcoming SATs. The session focussed on supporting pupils with any worries or anxieties they may be feeling. The team shared helpful advice and simple strategies to manage nerves, build confidence and reduce feelings of anxiety. World Book Day!
We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day in school. The children and staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, and it was fantastic to see so many creative and colourful costumes around the school. The children were also invited to bring in their favourite book from home. Year 5 Girls Shine at STEM Discovery Day!
Six of our year 5 girls had a fantastic time today taking part in a day of STEM discovery at Wolverhampton Girls' High School. They made slime in science, built bridges in D & T and coded in computing. A great day was had by all and many of our girls are inspired to want to explore these subjects further. As usual, our children were a pleasure to accompany and represented Elston Hall well!


Safer Internet Day
Safer Internet Day is the largest global online safety campaign. This year's theme, ‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI,’ focuses on teaching children and young people the skills to use AI technology safely and responsibly, and highlights available support.
